Join us for the 5th Annual Veterans Day Fly In  November 8, 2008 !!!!

Welcome to the Flint Flyer R/C Club web site!

We started the club in the Spring of 2003.  We are always looking for new members to join.  Our flying field is located in the Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park.  The field has been open to guests for many, many years and we are privileged to get the opportunity to continue to fly at this location.

We welcome new members regardless of experience.  We are capable of teaching brand new pilots to learn to fly via a "buddy cord" setup.  This approach enables you to concentrate on your controlled inputs rather than worrying about crashing your new investment.

In order to increase the club size and get more people involved in the sport (addiction) of flying R/C, we now have annual dues to cover related costs associated with an organized flying environment.  You must have an active AMA membership to join our club as well as to fly at the GA Veteran State Park field.  Guests, may fly at the field at anytime, but the club meets on Sunday afternoons if the weather is permitting.

Come join us and have a great time of fun & fellowship!!!!

2006 Fun Fly  This year we enjoyed good weather and had a few more pilots registered.  The overall turnout including spectators was increased from last year.  We are anticipating 2007 to be even bigger & better.  We have already formed a special committee that will be meeting with the Park program dept to iron out some of the issues that we ran into this year.  Go ahead and mark your calendar for Nov 10, 2007.

2005 Fun Fly  Well, last year the weather was perfect!  We had 36 registered pilots and planes were in the air constantly. Special thanks to all who participated and especially to Mac Hodges for flying the B-29 and to Dan Stevens for flying the X-1 at our field.  They made some awesome flights as usual and wowed plenty of spectators.  Jay Roobin flew his 40% Edge 540 and really "wrung it out" despite the fact that his knees were shaking a little.  Be sure to visit Jay's Edge Building Progress Page.
