Lanier 40% Edge 540

Build Notes:
Meet Jay Roobin and his Lanier 40% Edge 540. Jay purchased another Lanier 40% Edge 540 kit and will be starting the build process very soon.

We will attempt to follow the build with enough detailed information to be interesting but hopefully not boring.

Check back with us soon and let's follow Jay with his progress.

Here are some shots of what the kit looks like when you open the box.

The fuse framed up in about an hour.  Note the two holes for wing location.  One for 3D & one for IMAC

Making some progress on the fuse.  The turtledeck stringers have been added.  3-10-05

The turtledeck has been sheeted at this point.

The front stringer formers are completed and have been sheeted.

More work completed as of 4-27-05

Proper alignment is achieved by use of the Incidence Meter.  Notice the bubble is dead on!

Some Dremel work on the fuse.

Here you can see the wing core sheeting process:

Okay, Jay has been busy building away and has taken less pictures but here you can see the latest stage.

Now there will be no more pics until the plane is unveiled once the covering is finalized and the plane is completed.
